INTENDED USE
The splash proof case is sturdy and waterproof up to 3 meters. It prevents splashing water, dirt or mud from entering
your SOCAM® UltiMate.
The splash-proof case is not intended for under water use. For using the SOCAM® under water
and in water depth >3 m, check out the diving accessories at www.socam.me.
The splash proof case can be attached to any mounting of the SOCAM® UltiMate using the universal clip. Alternatively,
the case can be directly attached to a standardized tripod mount (without universal clip).
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product for
purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Read the instructions carefully and keep
them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.
From here on, the SOCAM® UltiMate is referred to as the SOCAM.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. If you do not follow the safety
instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or
damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
• The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material for children.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• Do not attempt to dismantle the product. Any attempt to alter or repair the unit, except by the original manufacturer or
an authorized service facility, will void the limited warranty.
• Regularly check the functional reliability of your product. Watch out for any visible damage such as cracks.
• Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.

• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental use.
Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
»» is visibly damaged,
»» is no longer working properly,
»» has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions, or has been subjected to any serious transportrelated stresses.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical support service
or other technical personnel.

MOUNTING THE SPLASH-PROOF CASE
If splash water, dirt or mud is expected during use, the splash-proof case must be used.
External sensor modules and battery packs can be used with the SOCAM in the splash-proof case. Refer to
www.socam.me for availability and details.
Mount the splash-proof case as described below (see illustration):
1. To open the splash-proof case, press the locks at the bottom of the case and remove the cover.
2. Remove the protective cover from the SOCAM.
3. Slide the SOCAM into the case.
4. Put the cover back in place. Make sure it locks properly. The SOCAM can now be operated as usual.

CLEANING AND CARE
• Apart from occasional cleaning, the splash-proof case is maintenance-free.
• Do not use alcohol, acid liquids, or abrasive cleaning agents.
• To clean the case, use a dry, soft, anti-static and lint-free cloth.
• For stubborn dirt the case can be cleaned with a damp cloth and must be dried thoroughly after.
• Ensure that the connections inside the case remain dry. Never submerge the cover of the case in water.

DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
