• Construction: Light (very faint) lines used
to get the general shape of the object.
Rule of thumb when you hold your paper
at arms length the lines should disappear.
• Object: Are very dark lines used to show
the perimeter of the object and any special
features.

• Hidden: Are dark dashed lines used to
show features that are not seen from a
particular view.
• Center: Used to show the center of circles
and arcs. Have two short dash lines to
show the center, with leader lines
extending past the feature.
