SCOPE OF COVERAGE: • If, for valid and verifiable reasons, the cardholder is unable to reach the roadside assistance service, and must obtain service on their own, they will have to pay the charges and return the original receipt to the service administrator to: Assistel Inc., 1100 René-Lévesque Blvd. West, Suite 1500, Montreal, QC H3B 4N4, within 30 days of the breakdown to be eligible for reimbursement. When submitting their claim, the cardholder must provide evidence that the service was provided by a certified repair professional. Reimbursement will be based on the prevailing commercial rate in the region where the vehicle broke down and on the program terms. • The administrator cannot guarantee that the repair facility where the car has been towed will be open at the time of the service call. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee that the repairs required can be made without delay by the repair facility. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE Happy travels! • In the event that a vehicle towing a camper, trailer, or any other equipment, must be towed or winched, any additional fees incurred to tow or disengage the camper, trailer, or other equipment are not covered and must be paid directly by the cardholder. In the event of a breakdown, the administrator cannot guarantee that available towing operations will have the equipment necessary to tow the camper, trailer, or other equipment. The wait time may be longer than usual, or under certain exceptional conditions, we may ask the cardholder to find a service provider that will tow the camper, trailer, or other equipment, at their own expense. * Some conditions apply. TERMS AND CONDITIONS This roadside assistance service is provided free of charge to cardholders who are enrolled in Assur-paymentTM. This service is subject to the following conditions and restrictions: PERSON COVERED: A cardholder who has Assur-payment TM protection under the terms of the agreement governing the use of the card. COVERED TERRITORY: Canada and the continental U.S. (excludes Alaska and Hawaii). PROTECTION: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. • Fuel delivery: delivery of fuel in the event the driver runs out. Only the first 5 litres are covered and any additional litre must be paid by the driver on site. • Winching: to extract the vehicle from mud, sand, snow or a ditch, provided it can be safely reached from a normally travelled road or established thoroughfare. One operator and truck will be provided for this service. The driver is responsible for the associated cost if additional equipment or operators are required. >From a garage to another location; >To a salvage yard; The roadside assistance service is intended for emergency situations where a passenger vehicle is used to transport individuals. As such, the program does not cover the following: >For a stored vehicle, a vehicle that is temporarily not used or not licensed, or a vehicle that is not usable on the road. The vehicle must be in a condition to be driven on a public road under its own power; • Repeated service calls for a poorly maintained vehicle or a vehicle in need of routine maintenance; • Towing to a private residence; SERVICES COVERED: • Snow removal from or around the vehicle; • Seasonal tire change, chain installation or removal; • Vehicle storage charges; • Towing/winching a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) exceeding 3500 kg; • Services for a vehicle that has broken down or is stuck on a private roadway, a vacant lot, a private snowcovered or icy driveway (snow removal not covered), a beach, a road that is not maintained, levelled or ploughed or any other hard-to-access area; • Parts, labour or repairs needed as a result of the breakdown; • Accident-related services (a collision, pothole or impact that may make the vehicle unfit to drive, whether or not another vehicle was involved); • Repair arrangements and payment for these repairs; • The program is not offered for: >Motor homes or other recreational vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, campers, trailers, or other equipment; • Battery boost: to jump-start the vehicle when the battery is too low or needs to be boosted. If the vehicle will not start, a tow can be provided in accordance with the terms of the program. >Any vehicle used exclusively for commercial purposes. • Flat tire change: replacement of a flat tire with the vehicle’s spare tire. If the cardholder doesn’t have a spare tire, a tow can be provided in accordance with the terms of the program. • Lockout service: unlocking the doors if the keys are locked inside the vehicle. If the keys are lost or broken, or if the operator cannot gain access to the vehicle, it will be towed in accordance with the conditions of the program. Locksmith services, if required, will be reimbursed up to $50. >From one garage to another; >For a driver unable to drive because of drugs, alcohol or fatigue; Up to four (4) service calls per year, per cardholder. • Towing: the vehicle will be towed to the authorized garage of the cardholder’s choice within a 10 km radius of the point of breakdown. If the chosen authorized garage is located more than 10 km away from the point of breakdown, the cardholder will be responsible for any charges per additional kilometre.
