COMMANDER’S MESSAGE
Our elections are over and your offices of the Year
2014-2015 have been installed. Congratulations to
the incoming Legion, Auxiliary and SAL Officers.
You each have been elected by your peeers. I look
forward to working all of you this coming year.
I'm asking that the three "C's" be our guide this year.
Let’s
COMMUNICATE,
COOPERATE
be
CONSIDERATE of each other. We are a "closed"
Post, we are not open to the public. You have had to
earn the right to come through our front door by
serving Honorable in the Armed Forces of the
United States. We need new members, yes, but we
also need more participation from our membership
starting with our Officers.
Let’s put the PRIDE back into Post 379. I'm proud to
be an American Veteran and I'm proud to me a
member of American Legion Post 379. I'm damn
Proud to have been elected Commander of Post
379, the largest Post in Tarrant County and the 2nd
largest in the State of Texas. With this new team of
Officers, I expect to be the Commander of the
largest Post next year.
There will not be a General Membership meeting in
July.
For God and Country,
David Eagan – Commander

I want to thank all of the American Legion Auxiliary

We were able to take care of a lot of Veterans and
their families.

Signing off for the last time - God bless each of you

MEMBERSHIP NEWS
We rounded out the year with a 94% membership
within the SAL (132 members). With the help of you
and every squadron member I hope we can achieve
100% for the 2014-2015 year.
CELEBRATING & SERVING OUR VETERANS
You did it ladies! Once again we are the Largest
Auxiliary Unit in the state of Texas. We want to
continue to be the largest Unit in TEXAS to match
our Legion. But only you can make this happen.
Remember it is the price your veteran paid that
allows us to continue our programs to serve our
veterans and their families. Your renewals show our
support of Your Veterans and our Troops. It shows
in our numbers. THANK YOU, to all of you who
renewed for 2014 and welcome to our new
members.
We missed a lot of you at our June fish fry. We will
take a break for the month of July (due to the
holiday and other events at the Legion). Please join
us starting back in August (1st Saturday evening of
every month) for the SAL fish fry.
Currently we have suspended the SAL Meat Raffle
for the summer and will pick back up in September.
Everyone at the Post seems to enjoy the Meat
Raffle.
As I have said before, even if you are unable to
physically donate time, your dues help to continue
the above programs for our veterans and our troops.
By the time this Article comes out the Post would
have had their officer’s installation. It was a great
turn out. After the installation, the night was filled
with joy and happiness by all.
