LOUISIANA
BIRTHED BY WATER AND CALLED TO BE PURIFIED BY
THE FIRE OF SACRIFICE
TO EVANGELIZE THE NATION AND THE WORLD!
Dear All:
New multi-parish events have been included on the SPIRITUAL
BULLETIN BOARD OF LOUISIANA. The Spiritual Bulletin Board of
Louisiana website is available 24/7 and is updated as new events
come in. If you would like to know more about the particulars of the
events listed below AND MANY MORE ONE TIME AND
REPETITIVE
EVENTS
AS
WELL,
just
click
on: http://spiritualbulletinboardoflouisiana.info/ and then go to the
“Front Page”.
No Catholic diocese, parish, order, organization or person stands
alone and does its own thing. We must unite and serve as one Body
in Christ. Please don’t consider any one event as being a single
event standing alone but consider them linked together as one
efficacious work.
We are now moving deeper into the 100th Anniversary of the
Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, Portugal with the month of May
being a special one. Especially, this year, try and stay networked as
Louisiana Catholics during this year! The Spiritual Bulletin Board is
just one of many resources to do that. The Spiritual Bulletin Board of
Louisiana will try and network you with multiple Louisiana Catholic
sites and ongoing activities throughout Louisiana. We are contacted
all the time with new resources, if you want to add one, please let us
know. Finally, if you would like to include a multi-parish event from
your area of Louisiana, please submit the information.

Although The Spiritual Bulletin Board of Louisiana is a privately
constructed and published website attempting to meet just some of
the statewide communication needs, Houma-Thibodaux Catholics
may always go to the New Evangelization webpage of the Diocese of
Houma-Thibodaux to see more about evangelization activities and
resources available to all by the Church.
Prayerfully consider:
Techniques of evangelization are good, but even the most advanced ones could not replace
the gentle action of the Spirit. The most perfect preparation of the evangelizer has no effect
without the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit the most convincing dialectic has no power
over the heart of man. Without Him the most highly developed schemas resting on a
sociological or psychological basis are quickly seen to be quite valueless… It must be said
that the Holy Spirit is the principal agent of evangelization: it is He who impels each
individual to proclaim the Gospel, and it is He who in the depths of consciences causes the
word of salvation to be accepted and understood.[118] But it can equally be said that He is
the goal of evangelization: He alone stirs up the new creation, the new humanity of which
evangelization is to be the result, with that unity in variety which evangelization wishes to
achieve within the Christian community. Through the Holy Spirit the Gospel penetrates to
the heart of the world, for it is He who causes people to discern the signs of the times- signs
willed by God- which evangelization reveals and puts to use within history.
