There are three types of agreement:
• Wholesale Contract agreement

Agreement types
Wholesale Contract agreement
The Wholesale contract agreement is a bilateral contract between a Wholesaler
and a Retailer to deliver Water and/or Sewerage services. A separate contract is
needed per service category and is created by the Wholesaler.
Interim Supply opt in agreement
The Interim Supply opt in agreement is the mechanism by which a Retailer can opt in to the
Interim Supplier Allocation Process for a given service category (Water or Sewerage) in a
wholesale area. The Interim Supplier Allocation Process the process by which the Market
Operator shall allocate Interim Duty Supply Points Registered to a Retailer to Opted In Retailers
in accordance with the Market Terms.
Gap site opt in agreement
The Gap site opt in agreement is the mechanism by which a Retailer can opt in to
the Gap Site Allocation Process for a given service category (Water or Sewerage) in a
wholesale area. The Gap Site Allocation Process is the process by which the Market
Operator shall allocate New Supply Points at Gap Sites to a Retailer in accordance
with the Market Terms.

• The registration of a new Supply Point and the transfer of existing Supply Points
requires the Wholesaler to have in place a Wholesale Contract agreement with the
nominated Retailer.
• The Central Market Operating System (CMOS) will validate that a Wholesale
Contract agreement exists between the two Market Participants.
• A Wholesale Contract agreement must exist to enable the Retailer to opt in for
interim duty supply allocation and for gap site allocation.

screen as follows:
1. Select Administration menu
2. Select Participant Management
3. Select Create Agreement

You can search and view your agreements with other Trading Parties using the Search
Agreements function. Navigate to the ‘Search Agreements’ screen as follows:

You can update an agreement from the View agreement screen (Wholesalers and
Market Operator only). Navigate to the ‘View agreement’ screen as follows:
1. Select Administration menu
2. Select Participant Management

4. Click the Trading Party link to view the agreement
5. Click the Edit button
