There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below Europe & Russia North America Central America South America Caribbean Africa Middle East Central Asia East Asia Australasia and Pacific Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. Cancer Screening Programme In the UK there are national screening programmes for breast, cervical and bowel cancer. There is no screening programme for prostate cancer because the PSA test is not reliable enough, but men over 50 can have the test if they ask for it. Breast screening is offered to women aged 50-70 in all UK nations. Women over 70 can still be screened, but will need to make their own appointment as they will not get an invitation. In England, this age range is gradually being extended to 47-73. I have lived in most parts of the country over the last 20 years but always longed to return to Sussex and in particular Brighton. I moved back with my family in 2013 and will have been at Montpelier Surgery for four years in July. I enjoy the work of a General Practitioner and the variety it brings. I value working in a small team and like the ethos of Montpelier Surgery in trying to keep our practice as a “Family Practice” where the majority of the time there is continuity of care between a particular healthcare professional and a patient. Outside of medicine I enjoy the outdoors and almost every sport, although I now seem to spend more time watching it than playing it.” Staff training dates: The Surgery is closed for staff training from 12.30 pm on the following dates: 20th July 2017 21st September 2017 Please remember to collect prescriptions before 12pm. If you require medical attention during these times please dial 111.
