WBF BONA FIDE CRITERIA
(Confirmed by the Executive Council in Lille, August 2012)
To be considered a bona-fide resident of an NBO, the following list of criteria must be satisfied, in
whole or in substantial part.
The player must:

reside in the country for at least one-half of the year prior to the event, or not have
lived in any other country for a longer period than in the resident country during the
previous two years
be a registered member of the NBOs organization
be a registered voter of no country other than the country for which he/she is seeking
to play
maintain a valid driver’s license or identity card issued by a political subdivision of the
country, such as a city or state
either own real estate or rent a residence in the country.
The WBF reserves the right to require documentary evidence that it considers to be satisfactory
proof of any of the above if there are any concerns about the credentials of a player.
