OFFICIAL SECTION 6, AREAS C AND F
2012 ROAD SHOW INFORMATION
-- Road Show will be held August 18 and August 24/25/26 at Westmont Yard (233 W. 63rd Street, Westmont, Illinois, 60559).
Field work will take place on the outdoor field adjacent to Westmont Yard; the indoor fields will only be used during inclement
weather. Check in for all courses will be held in the lobby of Westmont Yard.
-- Specific information about which courses are being offered and the exact dates and times are listed below. PLEASE
DISTRIBUTE THIS INFORMATION ASAP.
-- This is a great chance to get all of your coaches and referees trained prior to the start of the fall season - please be sure to
take advantage of it and communicate with them about this opportunity.
-- Pre-registration in eAYSO for all courses is required. Please make sure your volunteers know that and register as soon as
possible and no later than Friday, August 10. The courses are listed and registration is currently available in eAYSO. If you are
having any difficulty in registering for any of the classes, please contact Sue Gould (contact info below).
-- If your region does not use eAYSO for your volunteers, the regional commissioner should manage the RSVP process for your
volunteers and report your estimated attendance numbers, by course name, to Sue Gould by August 10.
-- Each region will be billed for their volunteers’ participation in each class. Invoices will be sent to regional commissioners
after the Road Show. Participants are not expected to show up with payment. Maximum costs for each course are as follows:
Course less than one-half day in length: $10-$15
U12 Coach and Basic Referee courses: $25
Intermediate Coach and Intermediate Referee courses: $35
Advanced Coach course: $50
Note: costs will be lower if (1) we do not need to use the indoor field space and/or (2) we receive financial support
from the Section 6 budget – this has been requested and is being considered
-- A continental breakfast will be offered on all mornings from 7:30 am – 8:00 am
-- Coach and Referee courses include outdoor fieldwork. Please wear gym shoes and bring water bottles and weatherappropriate clothing.
Thank you for your help in getting the word out and making this event a success. If you have any questions about the Road
Show, please feel free to contact me.
