;; Have you completed the Matriculation process?
To complete the Matriculation process you will need to view the online
orientation and pass the exit quiz, take assessment testing in English,
Reading, and Math and attend a group advisement session. Contact
the Matriculation Office at 949-582-4970 to make an appointment.
;; Have you met with an athletic counselor to make and
educational plan?
This is crucial so you know what classes to take for transferring to the
University of your choice. This must be done before the second season
of competition
;; Find out ASAP whether or not you are a qualifier, partial
qualifier, or a non-qualifier.
This will affect how long you need to stay at Saddleback College
before transferring. Visit www.ncaaclearinghouse.net or see an athletic
counselor for details.
;; Have you attended any other Colleges or Universities, even
if nothing was completed?
;; Pick a general education pattern to follow.
There are multiple patterns, (Saddleback College, CSU GE, and IGETC)
depending on your needs and following one early will assist you greatly
in the transfer process. If you are undecided, the IGETC general
education pattern is a good start as it qualifies for UC, CSU and even
some private schools and Universities.
;; Pick a major!
It’s important that you progress toward your Bachelors degree or a
school won’t accept you. Ex. You will not be able to major in Business
if you don’t have the appropriate major courses! See a counselor or

;; Are you planning on competing at the four-year University
level?
This is important because Athletes have stricter codes to follow. See
an athletic counselor to make sure that you are not only eligible to
compete at Saddleback College but at the next level as well!

It is recommended that you see a counselor a minimum of twice per
semester to check your game plan. Apply for financial aid if needed!
