We will plan meet at New Hope at 2:00 in the parking lot to load supplies/girls into
carpools.
Where: Girl Scout Camp Ada (about 25 miles east of 465 off of I-70)
This is a camp well suited for Brownie Girl Scouts. It is an indoor facility with adjoining
bunk rooms, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom facility. Feel free to learn more about this
great camp at http://gshcc.org/. Select Camp from the left side menu. The select Camping
Facilities.
Activities:
While at camp Ada, the girls will work on a Try-it (badge). They will
also be assigned a patrol to assist with meals and other chores. Meals will include
spaghetti, pancakes, and sandwiches.
Cost:
The troop will plan to cover the cost of the trip from cookie sales. All girl scout
camps charge $1 per girl for the use of the facility. The rest of the cost will be for food
and supplies.
Adults Needed:
If you are interested in helping chaperone this trip, please let us
know. Ideally we’d have at least 4-5 adults. You must be a registered adult scout. If you
are currently not registered, we have time to do that before the trip. Sorry, no Tag-alongs.
R.S.V.P.
We need a final headcount for planning purposes. Please R.S.V.P. Deirdre Gengenbach at
845-5932 or [email protected] for you and/or your Brownie by Friday February 3rd.
