CAROLS AND CHRISTMAS SONGS 2:30PM WEDNESDAY 16TH DECEMBER 2015
1.SILENT NIGHT
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright.
Round the Virgin mother and
child.
Holy infant, so tender and
mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
2. THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF
MINE
This little light of mine
I’m going to let it shine (X3)
Let it shine, let it shine, let it
shine.
Hide it under a bush?
Oh no! I’m going to let it
shine. X3
Let it shine, let it shine, let it
shine.
Don’t say ‘No’ and ‘fff’ it out,
I’m going to let it shine (X3)
Let it shine, let it shine, let it
shine.
The light that shines is the
light of love,
Lights the darkness, from
above
It shines on me and it shines
on you,
And it shows what the power
of love can do,
I’m going to let it shine both
far and near.
I’m going to let it shine both
bright and clear,
Where there’s a dark corner in
this land,
I’m going to let my little light
shine.
This little light of mine
I’m going to let it shine (X3)
Let it shine, let it shine, let it
shine
3.LITTLE DONKEY
Little donkey, little donkey, on the dusty
road,
Got to keep on plodding onward with
your precious load.
Been a long time little donkey, through
the winter’s night,
Don’t give up now, little donkey,
Bethlehem’s in sight.
Ring out those bells tonight, Bethlehem,
Bethlehem,
Follow that star tonight, Bethlehem,
Bethlehem.
Little donkey, little donkey, had a heavy
day.
Little donkey, carry Mary safely on her
way.
-----------------------------------------4.AWAY IN A MANGER
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down His
sweet head.
The stars in the bright sky
Looked down where He lay –
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the
hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby
awakes,
But little Lord Jesus, no crying He
makes.
I love You Lord Jesus!
Look down from the sky,
And stay by my side until morning is
nigh.
5. ON THE FIRST DAY OF
CHRISTMAS
On the first day of Christmas, my
true love sent to me
A partridge in a pear tree
On the second day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Two turtle doves and
A partridge in a pear tree
On the third day……….
Three French hens
On the fourth day ……….
Four calling birds
On the fifth day ……….
Five gold rings
On the sixth day ……….
Six geese a-laying
On the seventh day ………..
Seven swans a-swimming
On the eighth day ……….
Eight maids a-milking
On the ninth day ……….
Nine drummers drumming
On the tenth day ……….
Ten pipers piping
On the eleventh day ………..
Eleven ladies dancing
On the twelfth day ………..
Twelve lords a-leaping.

6. RUDOLPH
Rudolph
You know Dasher and Dancer and
Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid and Donner and
Blitzen,
But do you recall the most famous
reindeer of all?
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer had
a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it, you would
even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer used to
laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph join in
any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say:
‘Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?’
Then how the reindeer loved him as
they shouted out with glee:
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you’ll go down in history’ (Repeat)
7. JINGLE BELLS
Jingle Bells
Dashing through the snow,
In a one horse open sleigh,
Through the fields we go,
Laughing all the way.
Bells on bobtail ring,
Making spirits bright.
What fun it is to ride and
sing
A sleighing song tonight.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh.
8.Rockin’ around the
Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop.
Mistletoe hung where you
can see,
Ev’ry couple tries to stop.
Rockin’ around the
Christmas tree,
Let the Christmas spirit ring.
Later we’ll have some
pumpkin pie
And we’ll do some
carolling.
9. WE WISH YOU A MERRY
CHRISTIMAS
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a merry Christmas,
We wish you a merry Christmas, and
a Happy New Year.
Good tidings we bring to you and
your kin,
We wish you a merry Christmas, and
a Happy New Year
Now bring us some figgy pudding,
Now bring us some figgy pudding,
Now bring us some figgy pudding,
and bring some out here
Good tidings we bring ….
For we all like figgy pudding,
For we all like figgy pudding,
For we all like figgy pudding, so
bring some out here
Good tidings we bring ….
And we won’t go until we get some
We won’t go until we get some
We won’t go until we get some
You will get a sentimental
feeling when you hear
Voices singing ‘Let’s be
jolly,
Deck the halls with boughs
of holly!’
Rockin’ around the
Christmas tree,
Have a happy holiday.
Ev’ryone dancing merrilyIn
the new old fashion’d way
