Summary for Field recipient: Larry Brown, senior from Oklahoma Christian University, the runner up in the hammer throw at the NCCAA Outdoor Championships in May, opened his indoor season in strong fashion by rolling to the win in the weight throw at the Oklahoma Baptist Indoor/Outdoor Invitational. His throw of 15.96 meters (52 feet, 4 1/2 inches) beat the second-place competitor by more than seven feet. Sport/Division: NCCAA Women’s Indoor Track & Field Track Nominee Institution Mercedes Weaver Southern Nazarene University Field Nominee Institution Miranda Ostlund Oklahoma Christian University Summary for Track recipient: Mercedes Weaver, junior from Southern Nazarene University, placed third in the OBU Indoor Invitational by running the 60 meter dash in 8.07.
