How to Apply
Antlerless Deer Hunting Stamps are allocated through a
random draw system. Applications will be accepted from
7:00 am August 1st to midnight August 31st, 2016.

Choose where you want to hunt by selecting a Deer
Management Zone. Zone descriptions are available online at
novascotia.ca/natr/draws/deerdraw/ or at your local Department
of Natural Resources Office.
Ensure the mailing address associated with your Wildlife
Resources Card is correct. Check online at novascotia.ca/natr/hunt/

Have your Wildlife Resources Card in hand.

A cost of $8.04 (plus HST) will be charged to your Visa or
MasterCard.

This is not an information line. Every time this number is dialed,
a non-refundable charge of $8.04 (plus HST) will be billed to the
phone used to make the call. The call cannot be made using a
cell phone and charges cannot be billed to another number.
You may apply only once.

To apply by mail pick up an application form at your local
Department of Natural Resources office. Mail-in application fee
is $11.70 (plus HST).

Draw Results
A computerized random draw will occur on Tuesday, September 1st,
2016 for the number of available stamps (see table above) in each
Deer Management Zone.
Winners will be notified by mail. Applicants can also check
their individual draw results online at
novascotia.ca/natr/draws/deerdraw beginning by noon on
September 2, 2016.

Applications will be accepted 24 hours a day,
7 days a week, from August 1st to August 31st.
You may apply only once.
You must be eligible to hold a 2016 Resident
Deer Hunting Licence.
Only Nova Scotia residents may apply.

The 2016 Antlerless Deer Hunt
Reminders
Buck (antlered) deer may be hunted in all Deer
Management Zones. This year, Zone 107 is the only
zone open to the harvest of a deer of either sex. No
antlerless stamp is required in Zone 107.

Based on estimated density, herd condition and rates
of reproduction, a limited number of Antlerless Deer
Hunting Stamps will be offered in zones 101, 102, 103,
104, 105, 106, 108, and 109.

This year, Zones 110, 111 and 112 are open buck-only
harvesting. There are no Antlerless Deer Hunting
Stamps available in these zones.

Who is eligible?
To apply for the Antlerless Deer Draw, applicants must:

Be residents of Nova Scotia
Be eligible to hold a 2016 Deer Hunting Licence
Be 16 years of age or older
(on or before December 10, 2016)
Hold a Nova Scotia Wildlife Resources Card at
time of application
Not have suspended hunting privileges

You may only select one Deer Management Zone in
which to apply.
You may apply only once. Only one application per
hunter will be entered into draw.
Application deadline is midnight, August 31st, 2016.
There is a non-refundable fee of $8.04 + HST to apply by
phone or online.
Calls cannot be made using a cell phone and charges
cannot be billed to another number.
Successful applicants must affix their Antlerless Deer
Hunting Stamp in the designated space on their 2016
Nova Scotia Hunting & Furharvesting Licence Card.
Successful applicants will be notified by mail. Please
ensure your mailing address is up to date in our system.
Antlerless Deer Hunting Stamps are not
transferrable or refundable.
