THE GLOBAL FURNITURE MARKET
A NEW GLOBAL VALUE CHAIN
Traditional players aim at lowering their costs, increasing the
added value, opening new markets (i.e. to have a better access
to third country markets).
New players aim at increasing theirs weight on international
trade and to upgrading the quality of their productions.
These forces, via FDI, are defining a new global value chain in
the world furniture market.
