Position Brief:
Community Funded Enterprises is seeking an experienced Product Manager who is
passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fastpaced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out
products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.
Responsibilities
•
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill
product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve
customer experience, drive growth and create value
•
Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines or
features by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising
new product ideas and/or product.
•
Be responsible for the design, specifications and project management of
all underlying data models, processes and systems executing the delivery
of digital products.
•
Will be able to manage programmers with an "agile" approach to execute
on online product and feature development within a developing, testing,
education and deploying cycle,
•
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
•
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact;
familiarize self with current technology and market
•
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market
and optimal resources, informing a continuous delivery schedule for
innovating new features.
•
Drive product launches including working with cross functional team
members while engaging, motivating and coaching programmers (on-staff
and contractors)
•
Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with
product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
Requirements
•
Proven work experience in product management
•
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful
product throughout its lifecycle

Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and
effectively communicate recommendations to executive
management
•
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on
experience in software development and web technologies
•
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s
sleeves to get the job
•
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•
MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
preferred
Skills Set
This is a mid-career plus position. A minimum of 10 years of progressively more responsible work
experience.
The ideal candidate will have strong online product creation experience, strong data architecture
experience; strong UX experience and significant success in a small company environment.
•
Product management of concurrent multiple small to mid-size web development efforts
•
Requirements Analysis, planning and organizing to see development items through from
start to finish
•
Interpersonal skills with ability to work alone and be a team player
•
Takes initiative with ability to prioritize
•
Facilitation between Technicians, Success Managers, Business Development and
Executive Team
•
Web product development experience focused on content and community in a B2B
environment, creatively leveraging off-the-shelf technologies.
•
Data architecture and data modeling.
•
Structured systems development and documentation.
•
Up-to-date and well-versed in current web, mobile and database trends and technologies.
Not-required, but valuable:
•
Creating and managing the building of successful online communities
•
Business management experience in a smaller, entrepreneurial
environment.
•
Software product marketing experience.
