S1-6 Girls Football 7s League 2016/17
Format:
Region wide, after school Girls 7 aside league running from Sept 16 – Apr 17. The format
allows for competitive tournaments to be played on a monthly basis. The winner of each
age group will be the team that accumulates the most points over the period of monthly
tournaments.
Age levels:
S1-3, 7 aside teams, squad of 10
S4-6, 7 aside teams, squad of 10

Host venue requirements;
 3G or Astro pitch with at least 3 x 7 aside pitches
 Provide key contact
 Fixture list provided for each school, assistance from ASC & SSO
 Sports Leaders/ senior pupils to referee & score keepers
 All results to be emailed to central administrator
Other school commitments:
 Must confirm attendance, how many teams and at what age group via email with
host key contact at least one week prior to tournament
 School staff to aid with scoring at each pitch
 Addition helpers, sport leaders welcome to ref and score
 Team sheets to be completed and provided at the start of each tournament

Soccer 7’s Rules (S1-S3)
1.
The starting team should consist of a Goalkeeper and 6 outfield players.
2.
A referee will be appointed for each match.
3.
The duration of the games shall be 10 to 15 minutes long or decided by the
tournament co-ordinator (depending on amount of teams).
4.
Goalkeepers may kick from hand or throw the ball out after ball goes out for bye-kick.
5.
The offside law does not apply.
6.
The pass back rule does not apply.
7.
Kick-ins will be used to restart the game from the side-lines (A goal cannot be scored
directly from a kick-in.)
8.
On all occasions when the game is started or restarted, opposing players shall be at
least 10 metres away from the ball.
9.
Penalty kicks shall be taken from 7 metres from the goal line.
10.
Play shall be re-centred after a goal has been scored.
11.
Substitutions may be made at any time in the match.
12.
Teams are encouraged to ensure that players are given equal opportunity to play.
13.
A size 4 ball should be used for all games.
14.
Team coaches will substitute players demonstrating unacceptable behaviour.
15.
Players should shake hands with all opposition players at the end of each match.
