Several local players selected to play in All-Star basketball games

Several local basketball players have been selected to play in the Hoosier Basketball Coaches
Association All-Star games, which will be held April 26 at Bloomington North High School. The boys’ game will tip-off at 4 p.m.
Representing the East Squad will be Brandon Doebler from Eastern (Pekin).
Doebler will be joined by a number of area players, which include:
Cale Hale, Orleans; Timothy Wiseman (Corydon Central); Ranger Caffrey (Crawford County);
DeAnthony Warren (New Albany); Devin Winburn (New Albany) and Will Brown (Rock Creek).
The girls’ game is at 2:15 p.m. on April 26 and like the boys’ game, the East Roster is full of
local players.
Girls’ completing the East team are below:
Kaitlynn Henning (Charlestown); Kristen Nestor (Borden); Riley Wischmeier (Brownstown);
Sheyanne Street (Columbus North); Kasandra Rieckers (Brownstown); Madison Kaiser (Floyd
Central); Megan Galle (Columbus East); Claire Volpenhein (East Central); Eve Galbreath
(Switzerland County); Debie Gedeon (Columbus North); Brooke Ebbing (Brownstown); Justice
Burdin (Charlestown).
Bloomington North becomes the seventh site for the annual event since the first classic was
held in 1988.

“We are thrilled to have Bloomington North on board to host our 2015 All Star Classic,”
commented HBCA Executive Director Andy Igel. “Having a location that is central to all of our
districts is critical to ensuring the continued success of our classic. North High School brings
this opportunity to our association. Additionally, the city of Bloomington has worked to support
the HBCA since its inception and this is another example of their commitment to our student –
athletes.”
The 2015 HBCA All Star Classic will be held on Sunday, April 26, with 48 student – athletes
from southern Indiana represented.
The game day agenda will be as follows (Eastern Time):
10-10:30 AM: Players report and pick up uniforms
10:30-12 PM: Team Practices
11-1 PM: Meal Served
1:00PM: Induction of 2015 HBCA Hall of Excellence Class
1:10PM: Guest Speaker
2:15PM: Girls Game Tip-off
4:00PM: Boys Game Tip-off

Founded in 1985, the Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association serves student – athletes
throughout southern Indiana, with a mission of promoting their dedicated and focused
commitment to the game of high school basketball. The annual All – Star Classic helps to raise
funds for the association to provide eight annual scholarships to its’ member boys and girls
basketball players.
