Playing Rules
Breaking – Alternate breaks
Lag or toss for first break and alternate thereafter.
4 balls must reach a cushion or a ball must be potted,
otherwise foul.
Standard WEPF rules of Eight Ball apply in determining what
colour a player is on.
Pot Black off the break you WIN.
If you Pot black and foul, black is re-spotted.
General Play –
White or object ball must reach a cushion after contact
unless ball potted.
All general WEPF Eight Ball rules stand.
Exception: If player A is on reds, (player B on yellows), if
Player A contacts his colour first and proceeds to pot a ball of
his colour, as well as a ball of his opponents colour, this is NO
FOUL, continue shooting.
If a player pots opponent’s ball after first contacting own
selection without potting his own selection, end of visit.
If you pot your final colour and the Black in the same shot,
you WIN.
Snookers –
Total Snookers are asked for by player in control
Fouls –
Following a foul, opponent is awarded a free shot
On your free shot you are allowed to play literally any shot
you like. You can play the white and hit nothing, you can play
your opponent’s ball, you can pot your opponent’s ball, you
can play your own ball without reaching a cushion ...literally
anything is ok with your free shot……….
Exceptions: Pot Black when not on it and jump shots.
You then continue on with your normal shot. If you pot one
of your balls on your free shot, you have your normal shot
left, 2 shots DO NOT CARRY.
In-off and off the table whites are placed behind the baulk
line, any other fouls are played from where the white ball
lands.
Shot Clock is in play –
40 second shot clock, with first warning at 20 seconds.
The Mini rack game is designed to be played over a series of
frames.
The ideal scenario is a set (like tennis) race to 6 with equal
breaks, but you must win by 2 frames, so at 6 all the players
continue until either wins by the 2 frame margin.
Can be played over 3 or 5 sets if desired.
