Qualification
All players must be eligible to represent their Associations in accordance with the provision of article
B.10 of ETTU Handbook. Qualification shall be determined by the August 2017 junior and cadet
European ranking lists for boys and girls, but only junior players who will be under 18 and cadet
players who will be under 15 on 1st January 2017 will be eligible.
The qualified players, as well as their substitutes, will be announced immediately after the August 2017
ranking is published.

System of play
There will be separate events for juniors and cadets and for boys and girls, with matches decided by
the best of 7 games. In each event (boys/girls) the players shall be placed in one group in which they
will play each other. If a player withdraws before completing 5 matches, the results of those matches
shall be discounted. The tournament will be played in accordance with the Laws of Table Tennis, the
ITTF Regulations for International Competitions and the relevant ETTU Regulations and Directives.

Hall
The tournament will be played on 5 tables. 4 courts will measure 14m x 7m with 1 show court
measuring 16m x 8m.
For practice 9 tables will be available.
15.
Hospitality
Table Tennis England will provide 50% of the hospitality from the lunch on the day before the start of
the tournament until the breakfast after it ends, for 10 players in each event.
The organising Association shall provide free hospitality from lunch on the day before the start of the
tournament until breakfast after it ends, for a representative of the Executive Board, the Chair of the
Youth Committee and three ETTU staff members.
The organising Association shall provide free hospitality from lunch on the day before the start of the
tournament until breakfast after it ends, for all invited umpires.
The organising Association shall provide free hospitality from the evening two days before the start of
the tournament until breakfast after it ends for all foreign referees plus the travel expenses.
The costs of hospitality for additional persons (i.e. for persons not entitled to free hospitality) will be
£120 per person per day in a single room.
For Associations arriving earlier and/or staying longer additional costs will be charged. All payments
have to be made before the beginning of the event. For room cancellations after 14th August 2017, the
entering Association will be charged £60 per person. For room cancellations after 21st August 2017 the
entering Association will be charged with full hospitality cost.

Transportation
Table Tennis England shall provide transportation from Birmingham or Manchester airports to the
venue and return free of charge.
A shuttle bus service between the University of Worcester and the venue will be provided for all players
and officials as well as other accredited persons who will use hospitality offered by the organising
Association.
19.
Medical service
Permanent medical service (first aid) will be provided in the hall during the whole period of the
tournament. However, we strongly recommend to each delegation to have medical insurance.
20.
Racket testing
Racket tests will be randomly done according to ITTF regulations.
21.
Entries
We kindly ask you to return the entry and the travel/hospitality form to arrive not later than Monday

22.
Accreditation
Accreditation shall take place at the venue on Thursday 7th September 2017 from 09.00 until 21.00.
23.
Visa
Associations needing an entry-visa to England are kindly requested to contact the organising
Association ([email protected]) by Monday 14th August 2017 to receive the
necessary invitation letter.
