EastLake Church,
As you are receiving this letter, my wife Carmen and I are in Uganda (with an EastLake
Church team) at the orphanage that you have helped to support over the last several
years. We are here to install two more water catchment tanks to collect rainwater,
build bookshelves for the school library, and of course play with these amazing kids. We
brought two dentists with us who are providing full dental services for the children as
well as for the surrounding rural community. We are also bringing hundreds of pairs of
eyeglasses so we can do vision checks and give glasses to those who need them. More
important than the things we are doing to improve their quality of life is the opportunity
we have to share the love of Christ with them.
EastLake Church is committed to reaching outside of our community. Our focus is and
will continue to be on opening more campuses, launching more church plants, and
developing partnerships with organizations that are making big impacts both locally and
globally.
…You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my

How do we do this? We accomplish this by the generous spirit of those who decide that
they will pray and respond to what God is asking them to do. Last year as a church we
were able to help in the areas of human trafficking and the sex trade, the need for clean
water, homes for the poor, as well as launch a new campus and see hundreds decide to
take that next step of faith and receive Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life. Check out

The holiday season is right around the corner and I know that many of you have been
praying for a tender heart and a generous spirit. Ask God how he would like you to
