27-year old swingman Olivier Troisfontaines (192-G/F-89, agency: LBM Management) put on
an extraordinary performance in the last round for Aalstar and receives a Eurobasket.com
Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 33 points adding four rebounds and eight assists for Aalstar in his
team's victory, helping them to crush Spirou (#6, 7-6) with 20-point margin 102-82. Aalstar
is placed at 3rd position in Belgian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't
Olivier
Troisfontaines
lost a few games earlier this season. Aalstar will need more victories to improve their 8-6 record. In the
team's last game Troisfontaines had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out
of 9 attempts. It's his second year at Aalstar and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Olivier
Troisfontaines averages this season 12.5ppg. Worth to mention Troisfontaines played also at Eurobasket
Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
Second best performed player last round was Jeremy Simmons (204-F-89) of Brussels. He is American
forward in his first season at Brussels. In the last game Simmons recorded impressive double-double of 22
points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Brussels lost that game 81-88 to the higher-ranked Kangoeroes (#4, 76). This loss caused Brussels to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one
of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Simmons is a newcomer at Brussels and quickly became one of
team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Jason Clark (188-G-90) of league's second-best Antwerp.
Clark showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the last round.
He was a key player of Antwerp, leading his team to a 90-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Liege (#8, 59). Antwerp needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings.
Their record at this point is 10 victories and 3 lost games. Clark has a great season in Belgium. After 12
games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.2ppg (best scorer) and assists with
3.8apg (9th best). He also has FGP: 57.4% and 3PT: 44.8%.

4. Alexandru Olah (213-C-93) of Mons-Hainaut - 15 points and 15 rebounds
5. Ismael Bako (208-C-95) of Leuven - 18 points and 12 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played
recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many
basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*
(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
