Lodi Residential Energy Audit and Direct-Install Program
Lodi Electric Utility (LEU) is pleased to provide residential customers with
FREE installation of energy and water saving products. This program is
designed to help you save energy and water, and reduce your monthly utility
costs. These energy and water saving measures are being fully funded by
LEU’s Public Benefit Program and Public Works funds. The following products
will be available for a limited time while program funds last.
LED Light Bulbs use 80% less energy compared to standard incandescent light bulbs
and can last up to fifty times longer. Up to eight energy efficient LEDs will be installed
to replace your existing incandescent and halogen light bulbs. Lodi Electric Utility
hopes you will enjoy the performance and energy savings of the LED light bulbs for
many years. Lodi Electric Utility also offers rebates for LED light bulbs and encourages
you to consider LEDs for your future lighting purchases.
High Performance Showerheads deliver a satisfying shower while at the same time reducing water use
and saving on your water and sewer costs.
Low-Flow Faucet Aerators - will be installed to reduce water use in kitchen and bathroom sinks.
Thermostatically Controlled Shower Valves monitor the temperature of the water
coming out of your showerhead during initial warm-up when you first turn on your
shower. When the water reaches 95 degrees, water is reduced to a trickle, reducing
wasted hot water (and energy) that normally goes down the drain! When you step into
the shower, a simple pull on the lanyard restores the normal flow of water out of your
showerhead.
Advanced Smart Power Strips - Do you ever fall asleep watching TV, or leave the house
and forget to turn the TV off? No worries! Advanced smart power strips monitor the
activity on your TV and automatically turn it off when it is not being watched. Advanced
smart power strips can save up to 50% of the energy used by TVs in typical households.
Each household will be eligible to receive professional installation of one power strip and
instructions on how it works.
