What is Best Value?
The Best Value program is a unique web-based initiative that provides cost saving opportunities for your lab and the University of
Pittsburgh. Best Value items have been price optimized for Pitt to help extend research funding. The program offers money-saving
alternative products (Best Value items) for the products you are buying every day. When performing a search on the Fisher Scientific
punchout site, look for the Best Value symbol
for cost-saving alternatives!
How it Works!
1.
Perform a search using a search term or part number in the Fisher Scientific Punchout catalog.
2.
Review the punchout results and where available, the alternate Best Value product will appear on the same page.
3.
The Best Value item will be indicated with the
icon.
4.
The product detail page will also identify the Best Value item (icon will again be displayed).
5. Upon adding an item with a Best Value alternative to your cart, you will see a message indicating the Best Value item. You will
have the opportunity to place the Best Value item in your cart instead or can proceed with your current item to Check-Out
