The 2016 Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light Best Show Award and Contest
TERMES AND CONDITIONS
Only Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light spectators are eligible to enter the contest, with the
exception of the people in or related to the organizing committee, its sponsors, its partners, its
suppliers, its employees or its volunteers.
General information
The contest known as the « 2017 Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light– Best Show Award » will
begin on Saturday August 5 at 10:00 PM and will end on Friday August 18 at NOON.
In entering the contest, participants accept to respect the different rules and regulations
established for this contest and accept the decisions made by the organizers as being final and
binding in all aspects.
1. Admissibility/Conditions of participation
The contest is opened to Ontario and Quebec resident during the dates stated for the contest.
The organization for which the contest is being held, its employees, its representatives, its
suppliers, its sponsors, its partners and all of their employees, as well as all of their family
members (husband, parents, brothers, sisters or kids) or any other person living with the people
identified above, are not admissible. This contest is not valid where stated by law.
To be admissible, participants must also be ticket holders for one of the competition nights of
the current edition of the event (2017) OR must be able to describe in a 200 words or less their
experience and their impressions of the show.
In addition to what is previously stated, the participants must also be able to travel legally from
Montreal. If the selected participant is not admissible or eligible to take part in the contest as
detailed in the present terms and conditions, the organizer of the contest will have the right to
disqualify the said participant and to draw a new ballot to award the prize; the organizer of the
contest will be entirely and fully discharged of all responsibility to that effect.
2. How to participate
No purchase is necessary. A single ballot will be drawn from all entries. Maximum of one entry
per email address per day during the contest period. Entries can be made by visiting the proper
address (http://www.feux.qc.ca/contests-and-promotions/best-show-award-contest/) and by
filling the ballot form with the required information.
3. Date and time of the contest period
All entries must be submitted by August 18th , at noon. All entries then become the property of
the contest’s organizer and sponsors. No reception receipts will be issued for any of the entries.
A personal submission confirmation will not considered as proof of reception of any or all of the
entries by the contest organizers.
4. Description of the method used for the selection of the winning entry
The winner will be selected by random draw from all the entries received. The prize, as
described below, will be attributed to an admissible contestant by luck of the draw.
4.1 Description and value of the prize
One (1) prize will be awarded.
GRAND PRIZE : A $3 000 travel credit
Airport taxes and service charges, seat selection fees, travel insurance, tips and all personal
expenses will need to be assumed by the winner and his/her guest (subject to tax, charges or
fuel surcharge variations). The above mentioned taxes and service charges will need to be paid
to Sunwing Vacations prior to the departure.
Insurance, seat selection and the personal expenses are the responsibility of the travelers.
The total value of the prize is at $3 000 CA.
5. Date, place and time of the draw
On August 18th 2017 in Gatineau (Quebec), at or close to 1 PM, a random draw will be held at
the Sound of Light offices, located at 207-815, De la Carrière Blvd in Gatineau (Quebec) among
all valid entries received before the closing of the contest in order to name the winner.
6. Winning notice
The selected participant will be informed by phone within the next three (3) following the
contest. The organizer of the random draw does not assume any responsibility for the incorrect
information received during the transmission, the reception or the treatment of the entries. If
the selected participant does not respond to the contest’s organizers within the following the
(3) days of notification, the winner will then be deemed disqualified and a new entry will be
drawn among all of the entries received. In taking part in the present contest, all disqualified
participants accept that should the prize confiscated and award to a new party, for any reason
whatsoever, that the contest organizers cannot and will not be held responsible in any way,
shape or form. The contest organizer is not responsible for any notification failures that could
occur.
7. Date, place and deadline for claiming of the Grand Prize
The trip must be claimed as offered and has no cash-value, is not transferable or is not
exchangeable.
The trip must be made from Montreal and completed between September 1st 2017 and August
31st 2018. The confirmation of the stay is subject to flights and hotel availability at the time of
booking.
The travelers are responsible for obtaining all documents required for traveling outside of the
country. Certain countries require that passport be valid for up to 6 months after the trip’s
return date.
Should the trip not be used within the dates provided, please note that absolutely no extension
will be granted.
The sponsors of the Grand Prize (VoyageAquarelle & Sunwing) to its sole discretion and in
accordance with the applicable law, reserves the right to substitute any part of the prize by an
element of equal or greater value if the Grand Prize announced or a part of the announced
package is declared not-available.
The sponsors of the random draw, to its sole discretion, also reserve the right to end or to
suspend the contest, or to modify any of the rules and regulations at any given time.
8. Exemption
By entering the draw, the selected participant and his/her traveling companion agree to release
of any and all responsibility the sponsor of the draw, its directors, employees, agents, members
and affiliates, including, without limitation, the contest organizers, its sponsors, suppliers or any
other entity affiliated with the event of any injury, loss or damage to oneself or to personal
property, including, but not limited to, death from, in whole or in part, caused directly or
indirectly from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prize awarded or to the trip related to
the draw.
9. Obligations
Except where prohibited, by participating in the draw, the participant agrees accept the
following conditions by signing and returning a letter stating the following obligations to the
organization in charge of the draw within fourteen (14) days following notification:

A letter affirming eligibility and compliance with all rules of the draw

A waiver of liability releasing the sponsor of the draw, its directors, employees,
agents, members and affiliates, including, without limitation, the contest organizers,
sponsors, suppliers or other entity affiliated with the occurrence of the event from
any liability arising from or relating to the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of
the prize, any portion of the prize or any travel related to this contest

A publicity release form allowing the organizer and sponsor of the contest the use of
their name, image, voice, likeness and photograph without compensation in any
publicity carried out on any medium in worldwide campaigns made of the
sponsorship of the contest or its advertising and promotional agencies without
limitation or further notification, unless prohibited by law. Note that a photographer
may attend all or part of the winner's visit to photograph the winning participants.
The travel companion must also sign and return a publicity release form within the time
specified above. Should the selected participant and his/her travel companion not submit the
above documents within the time limit, the sponsor of the draw reserves the right to disqualify
the said participant and randomly draw another eligible entry for purposes of awarding the
prize. The sponsor of the draw will be fully and completely absolved of any responsibility in this
regard.
10. Disputes
This contest is governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable, and is subject
to all laws and regulations applicable federal, provincial and municipal levels.
By entering this contest, participants agree that the courts of the Province of Quebec, Canada,
will be competent to entertain an action or other legal proceeding based on any provision of
these rules and regulations or execution the draw. The participants hereby acknowledge the
exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec.
For Quebec residents: Any litigation concerning the conduct or organization of a publicity
contest may be submitted to the “Régie des alcools, des courses et des Jeux du Québec” for a
ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for
the purpose of an intervention to try to resolve it.
11. Interruption
The organizer and sponsor of the draw reserve the right at its sole discretion, terminate, modify
or suspend the draw, or amend the rules and regulations of the lot at any time for reason.
12. Limitation of responsibility
The organizer and sponsor of the draw cannot be held responsible for any technical or human
error which may occur in relation to the draw. The organizer and sponsor of the draw assume no
responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or
transmission failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to communications lines, or in
case of alteration of, entries. In addition, the organizer and sponsor of the draw are not
responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any network or telephone lines,
computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure in terms
of receipt by the organizer or sponsor of the draw of any email or any interest due to technical
problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any
combination thereof, any injury or damage to entrant's computer or any other person
connected with or arising from participation, uploading or access to any document in
connection with this contest.
13. Name of the winner
The name of the winner will be announced during the Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light’s
Grande Finale on Saturday August 19th , during the official presentations (+/- 9:15 PM) and will
be posted on the event’s web site (http://www.feux.qc.ca/contests-and-promotions/best-showaward-contest/ ) on Tuesday August 23rd by 5PM.

The organizer respects the right to privacy. Any information of a personal nature concerning the
participants will be used by the organizer for the sole purpose of administering the contest, and
only in the case of express consent at the time of filing the entry, it will make awareness
promotion activities and the activities organized by the organizer and sponsors.
