Call for Contributions CEC Journal, Issue 3 Information Literacy & Conflict Resolution The CEC Journal is an open-access publication that is sponsored by the Bartos Institute for the Constructive Engagement of Conflict (CEC) at UWC-USA. The journal publishes two issues a year (April and November) and we welcome multimedia contributions that capture the dynamic processes involved in engaging with conflict. The third issue of the CEC Journal invites contributions in response to the theme Information Literacy and Conflict Resolution, and will be guest edited by incoming Bartos Fellow, Ms. Chinwe Onuegbu. Proposed contributions might address, but are not limited to, the following themes: • Workplace Communication and Conflict Management • Media Accessibility and Juvenile Delinquency • Parent-child Communication and Juvenile Delinquency • Intercultural Dialogue and Social Bonding in Heterogeneous Populations • Information Literacy and Disaster Management • Media Availability and Governance in Democratic Systems • Spousal Communication and Marital Conflict • Gender and Information Accessibility • Information Accessibility amongst Internally Displaced Persons • Information Creation and Poverty Situations in Developing Countries Expressions of interest should be sent by January 15th 2017 to [email protected] and include a 500 word abstract + a 250 word biography of the author(s). First drafts will be due by February 15th 2017. The final submissions, with a maximum of 5,000 words for text-only pieces, will be due by March 31st 2017. The publication will be available online in April 2017.
