To treat everybody the same; The public need to feel likethey treat everybody the same. The people with less money will be treated the same as people that have lots of money. primark achieve this by making everyone in the store feel individual; we will make everyone feel like they are 'special'. Primark Marketing mix also involves a range of processes concerned with finding out what consumers want, and then providing it for them. This involves four key elements, which are referred to as the 4Ps as in marketing mix which are Product Price Place Promotion One of the first 4ps that primark applies and involves itself in is Product: product is anything that would make a customer happy and satisfied Product excides the features and includes benefits of the particular one, it also includes how it’s packaged, the style of the product like way it looks like and other further extras stuff such as guarantees and warranties. Products are designed to match the needs of the customer or consumer. product is the most important factors in 4ps for any business to run sucessfully, similerly for the primark it is the same thing because for primark product is their retailing clothes, shoes, jewellery they sell and service they provide like helpful, sincere and friendly service, they want to get out as many product out to match the possible customer so that they make their product extra stylish more interesting, unique and appealing to the customer, they add stuff into it like the warranty of the product like how like you can return it if you don’t like it and there have good features in their product such as good brand name like DENIM CO, CEDARWOOD etc, their website itself looks very appealing in random mix colour which attract more customer to buy their product. The second one of the 4ps that primark applies is Place: place is as important as any other factor mentioned it plays a very vital role in running their business properly and is also a very important factor in marketing mix. place is about considering where and to whom you sell your product must also including who your target audiences are and which niche of the market you are aiming for. The quality of the product will help determine who your target audience is and where you should place your product. There are many different ways in which you could distribute your product and the right placement is the key to this criteria.. Milan limbu Mr Thompson BTEC business level 3- unit 3-P2 Place is an important factor for business such as primakr because primark is the one of the ffew business to only have done its business through the mens of high street where there are more busy customer coming in and going out this is their USP point for the business is its stock is high and the product is cheap so more customer rather go there than go through the means of online shopping. They have special customer service centre and cash back service setup in the place. They also have a website in which you can locate the primark store you are looking for. The company main headquarters are based in Ireland where it trades as well. One of the other main 4ps the primark mostly concentrates on is Price: price is offered to match the on the cost of the customer like how much they will pay for it and it is also made to match the competitive prices on how much they increase or decrease to get more customer buying their product . Price is one of the most important factor for the customer because they buying two identical they would more likely want to buy the cheaper one offering such as buy one get one free might be offered to attract more customer on their side. The price of the product is not only the factor based to attract more customer things such like brand, quality and service offered might affect the buying and sales Price is a very important factor for the primark because their USP is their price it is there to satisfy the customer and also to stay ahead of their competitors in other terms they do the destroyer pricing it means lowering the price of your company’s product to a level that cannot be matched by your competitors, and therefore driving the competition out of the market and primark is very good at it. Most of competitors can’t match the price of the primark because its product are really cheap and there are very large stock available to meet customer demands so primark gets most of the profit and customer through their cheap pricing in products. Milan limbu Mr Thompson Promotion: BTEC business level 3- unit 3-P2 promotion is the way on getting the product to the market and communicating it with the customer it factor will include how it is described and represented to the public. Promotion is very important factor for a business when they are selling any kind of product. Promotion is about making public or the customer aware of when they are launching the product because without any awareness the public wouldn’t get the chance to review the product thus the business cannot make enough profit without advertising it. There are many ways of available such as media to gain public attention such as newspapers, television, radio, trade shows and the Internet, magazines, newspapers and leaflets. One of the most important aspects of promotion is to make the customers think they need your products you should convince them through advertisement to buy your product. Promotion is an important factor in business such as primark because they want more customer coming into their business, they do this by advertising themselves in public places where more people can get a view of what they are like and can convince themselves into the business. the places where they can advertise themself could be through their website and internet primark can do sales promotion by convincing customer to come into their business by offering more special offer such as giving them half price, buy one get one free, primark can also do other form of promotion such as using tv advertisement and a popular form of giftcard advertisement where it offers more discount on the product so it might be new offering to customers giving more value options to Look Good and Pay Less.. Legal constraints Marketing managers are encouraged to act responsibly through a number of constraints. There are some laws which have to be observed. The business has to make sure that they don’t do something that is against the law and get them self in trouble. primark has to make sure that they follow what has been settled out for them to do. Sales of goods Act 1979 This act was amended by the sale and supply of goods act 1994 and the sale and supply of goods to consumers regulations 2002. Milan limbu Mr Thompson BTEC business level 3- unit 3-P2 primark have to look through the legal constraints before they make any sells they have to make sure they follow, under this legislation goods bought from trader should be: Satisfactory, fit for particular purpose and should be described to the customer. One of legal constraints of primark might be In 2008, poor working conditions in Indian factories supplying Primark were the subject of an undercover investigative documentary by the BBC's Panorama. Primark subsequently stopped doing business with the Indian supplier. This has showed that before primark products are being produced they should look at how the quality of the product itself is and manufacturer place is. The place being produced in india with its supplier failed to prove that because it had poor working conditons in indian factories and it had to be stopped. Milan limbu Mr Thompson BTEC business level 3- unit 3-P2 Brand image On 9 January 2009, a supplier was forced by ETI to remove its branding from Primark stores and websites following a BBC/The Observer investigation into the employment practices. The investigation alleged use of illegal immigrant labour which was paid less than the UK legal minimum wage.[7] This might be a serious problem for primark because brand such as supplier had been forced by eti to remove its products from primark due to use of immigrant labour. The reason it might be a problem is because every businesses likes to create a serious good brand image for itself so it can attract the customer into the business primark has a good hold for being cheap medium quality product with high stocks on the stores. This might be disrupted because more people would look over primark as being illegal alleged company and would stop going to it due to having such a false image creating primark to lose more customer and the amount of profit they make. Milan limbu Mr Thompson BTEC business level 3- unit 3-P2 primark e marketing E-Marketing: is the management process through the use of electronic communications technology. It uses the internet for marketing a brand. E- Marketing is one of the easiest ways to set business and be very well known. This is online shopping or online retailing; it’s an easy and fastest way which saves the consumer’s time for searching the product on the high street primark e-marketing isn’t that relevant because the business way of selling the product isa high stock with cheap product sales so it would prefer more that people come into the high street and buy product from it rather than taking trouble on putting itself on internet. It might save them time, money and give more expense towards the research development as well. The only e-marketing I have been able to figure out for e-marketing is its advertisement in its website they show the clothes they sell and have things such as store locater in their website
