Effective November 2015, utility bills will be mailed the first week of each month and will be due the 25th of each month. Bill pay options include: Pre-authorized Payment (PAP) - Your payment is automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account on the due date. PAP forms are available at www.rfmu.org/pap or at City Hall, 222 Lewis Street. Convenient payment options through Payment Services Network (PSN) * Online: www.rfmu.org—Click “Pay Your Bill” to setup your ecare account. Once your ecare account is created you may log in at anytime and make payments (e-check, credit or debit card). * By phone: Call (877) 885-7968 (24/hrs, 7/days a week). You will need your RFMU ten digit account number and payment information (e-check, credit or debit card). *Note: When using the online or phone payment options, a credit card processing fee of 2.75% plus .50¢) will be charged to you by Payment Services Network (PSN). This processing fee will be charged to you only if you pay with a credit or debit card (no fee if using an e-check). Drop Box – located in the City Hall parking lot. Check or money orders only, no cash. Include tear off portion of your statement to insure accuracy in payment processing. Mail – a return envelope is included with your statement each month. In person – office hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Utility payments must be in the Utility Office by 5pm on the due date in order to avoid a late fee. This includes payments made in person, by phone, on-line, or put in the drop box. Payments received after 5 pm on the due date will be credited to the next business day and are subject to a late fee. To avoid late fees and/or disconnection contact our office to make a pay arrangement prior to the due date if you are not able to make your payment by the due date. STAY CONNECTED WITH US Disconnection/Reconnection Policy — Accounts past due are subject to disconnect. If you are not able to pay your full amount due by the due date, call our office to make pay arrangements prior to disconnection. If your service is disconnected a minimum payment of half of your past due balance is required along with the reconnect fee. The remainder of the past due amount must be paid within 2 weeks to avoid being disconnected for void pay arrangement. See your statement for the due date of your current bill. Commitment to Community is part of the Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP). These funds are for your non heating electric costs and are included in your application for WHEAP. Funds are distributed by RFMU and occur automatically after your qualified application with WHEAP has been processed. This can take several weeks. RFMU will mail you a letter with the amount you are eligible for based on your WHEAP application and these funds will be applied to the electric portion of your utility bill.
