Active Adult Social Programs
Senior Cards & Board Games – First and Third Wednesdays / 1- 4 p.m.
Stimulating the brain and body can help us stay young and healthy. And
we're all up for anything that might slow down the aging process especially if
it's easy and fun to do.
Playing cards and games helps us to sharpen our brain. Just like physical
exercise, it keeps our brain fit and fine. There are game strategies and math
skills, which are key to card games and we have to learn those skills and
strategies to better enjoy the game. Memory skills are also required and
therefore improved because you have to remember played cards and cards
which are yet to be played. Thus, having fun playing cards and games makes
our minds active and highly busy so therefore we can definitely call cards
exercise!
Craft Making Day – 2nd and 4th Wednesdays/ 1-3p.m.
Bring in your current work in progress or something you want to learn. Mini
demonstrations are coming! Great fun, creative, social event.
