2016 CORAL UK OPEN RILEYS AMATEUR QUALIFIERS RULES 1. Players must be aged 16 years or older on or before January 1 2016 to compete. 2. Players will be allowed to enter more than one Qualifier. Current PDPA Members (Tour Card Holders or players who competed in the 2016 PDC Qualifying School) are not eligible to enter this competition. PDPA Associate Members with “Challenge Tour Only” membership are permitted to enter the Amateur Qualifiers. 3. In all rounds, games will be played on a standard dartboard comprising of doubles, trebles, 25 and 50 ("bull"), which is hung 5'8" from the centre of the bull to the floor, and the throwing distance will be 7' 9.25” measured along the floor. 4. The 50 or "bull" counts as double 25, and when a 50 is required, "bull" is game shot. 5. Game in rounds up to the final of each Amateur Qualifier will be the best of seven legs, 501 up, straight start and finish on the double, with the final to be the best of nine legs. The burst rule will apply in all cases (The burst rule: the exact number must be obtained and if a player obtains more than the required number with any one of his three darts, the score shall not count. On the next throw, the player shall throw for the original number required – Example: if a player requires six and hits single three with the first dart and one with the second dart, he/she obviously requires double one to win the leg: however, if he/she scores any other number, he/she reverts to six on his/her next throw at the board. However, if the player should get the required double, yet continue to throw not knowing he/she has won, the leg is over and that player has won the leg). 6. "Equal Darts" are not recognised, and the player who first obtains the number required in accordance with the playing conditions wins the game. 7. It is each player’s responsibility to be ready to play their game when required; players who are not in a position to play are subject to disqualification from the tournament at the Tournament Official’s discretion. 8. Players must provide their own darts, which must not weigh less than 10gms or more than 50gms and shall have a steel or similar metal point. No darts count unless the point is actually touching the board when the score is called. All players must retrieve their own darts. The score of any dart falling from the board is not counted - only darts with the point touching the board at the point of retrieval are counted, regardless of any score previously called by the marker. 9. All games must be played in the order of the published draw. No further draw will be made after the first round has been played. 10. Players must throw from the standard line or oche, keeping one foot within any side limits. 11. The result of each throw must be clearly shown on a chalkboard, scoreboard or score chart, giving the number obtained and the number required. All scores must be recorded by the marker and checked by the referee or players. 12. No call is to be made, or information given, except by the marker/referee. The marker/referee may inform the player of the number he/she requires to finish a game if the marker/referee is asked. The marker/referee may disqualify any player not observing the rules.
