The Chimney House Alliance is a wellestablished partnership of schools who are
commited to delivering high quality Initial
Teacher Training (ITT) in North West England.
Through effective collaboration, the Chimney
House Alliance has a proven reputation for

• We are a strong, well-established National
Teaching School Alliance, and in our third
year of School Direct.
• We were one of the first in the country to be
involved in School Direct and had one of the
largest cohorts.
• We have National recognition for our
innovative School Direct Programme,
including opportunities to participate in a
co-ordinated series of professional studies
conferences led by outstanding current
teachers and school leaders.
• There are opportunities to partake in several
placements in a range of settings.
• We have a cohesive group of Associate
Teachers from a wide range of subject
specialisms.
• Our Head Teacher is on the School Direct
Reference group which reports directly to
the Government.
• There is an expectation that successful
graduates of this programme are likely to
be offered employment in the Alliance and
associate schools.
• We have reputable Continuous Professional
Development once you have secured a job
within the Chimney House Alliance, such as
our established NQT and RQT programme
which include Masters Credits.
• Gain a PGCE and 60 Masters Credits with
Manchester Metropolitan University, and
Qualified Teacher Status upon completion
of the programme.
