Order Sets
Using Order Sets...
Using a preconfigured Order Set will ensure all necessary elements for a particular condition are
ordered.
An Order Set is customizable treatment template, based on the diagnosis of a patient and include
prescriptions, labs, diagnostic imaging, procedures, referrals, etc. Order Sets are preconfigured to ensure
that all the necessary elements for a particular condition are ordered.
The following conditions trigger Order Sets:



A Template associated with one of the top 10 diagnosis codes is Merged into the Progress Note.
An ICD code linked to an Order Set is added to a patient’s Assessments for the current Encounter.
An ICD code linked to an Order Set is added to a patient’s Problem List.
Order Sets can also be saved as Favorites and be available via the Progress Notes Chart Panel OS Tab.

Utilize Find
to display
applicable

The associated Order Set
will display under the
Tab on the Chart Panel.

are

items.

Order Sets
Specifying Order Sets as Favorites…
Order Sets must be specified as favorites before they can be used from the Chart Panel .
To specify an Order Set as a favorite:
Click EMR
Click the Order
Set
Administration.
Select the Order
Set to add to your
Favorites via the
Order Set dropdown list.
The Star icon in the upper-right corner will turn from Red to Green indicating
the Order Set is now added to the OS Chart Panel Tab as a Favorite.
