Ab Saunders Ab saunders was a cowboy born October 14 1851 best known for his assosiations with Billy the kid, Charlie bowdre, Frank McNab and Doc Scurlock Standing bear Standing bear (top left) was born in 1839 in Nebraska United States And died in September 1908 there is a statue built in his honour (top right) He is shown on the right with a tomohawk which is and indian axe like weapon It was used to throw at their enemy they would inflict heavy and deep wounds Apache The apache clan was located in Arazona, New Mexico and Texas. the women wore buckskin dresses and men wore leather war shirts The apache tribe did not traditionaly wear feather warbonnets the plain apache tribes adopted these headresses from their friends the kiowas. They were not farmers they were mainly hunters the apache men hunted buffalo Deer antalope and small game even though they weren’t farmers they ate corn. Iroquis Unlike the apache iroquis were mainly farmers The boys were not allowed hunt with the men until they caught an animal of their own. Corn Beans and squash were called the 3 sisters Cherokee The cherokee clan were mainly located in Gorgia, north and south Carolina The Iroquis indians were the chrokee distant cousins. The cherokee liked even Power between men and women Cheyenne Chyenne wer located in montanna and oklahoma cheyenne comprisred Two native indian tribes they spoke cheyenne english and sign language They wore hide dresses made out of hide of the animals they hunted
