How does the Insurance/Registration Fee work?
The Insurance/Registration Fee is $30.00 and covers the following areas: Affiliation to Basketball Victoria
Country & Insurance.
When does my Insurance/Registration run out?
The Insurance/Registration Fee covers the players for 2 seasons. Example if a player pays in May 2012 it will
cover them for winter season 2012 (current season) and summer season 2012/13.
What are the basketball seasons?
Winter 2012: April 2012 to September 2012
Summer 2012/13: October 2012 to March 2013
What do I do if my name is not printed on the score sheet?
It means we do not have your details on the system and you will need to come to the Sports Office (9am-5pm
Monday to Friday or 5pm-10pm Monday-Wednesday and Friday) or ring (03) 5440 6221.
What is the senior team bond for?
The senior team bond is $120.00 per team. All Bond payments received from domestic basketball teams will
be held in trust.
If a team forfeits without paying or in any way defaults on payment for a scheduled game then they will be
asked to pay the charges. If they do this twice and fail to pay all outstanding charges before the next round
than all of their bond will be forfeited to Bendigo Stadium and they will be removed from the roster.
If a team doesn’t draw down on its bond in a season then the bond may be rolled into the next season for use
by a team of the same name.
How many games do I need to play for finals?
To be eligible to play in finals a player must have played in 50% + 1 game of the ‘played games’.
If the calculation of ‘played games’ is not a whole number then the amount of games required shall be
rounded down to the lesser whole number.

What is the uniform policy?
Players who have not obtained the correct uniform by the commencement of round 4 will be penalized points.
A player who is not wearing the team’s correct uniform will be penalized five (5) pts per player. Should a team
have more than one (1) player not in the correct uniform, then the team will be penalized five (5) points per
player, up to a maximum of 15 points being awarded to the opposing team.
Note correct uniform – same colored tops and shorts. Tops to bear permitted numbers (numbers must be
legible) and will be of legal size, shape and material. The Permitted numbers are: 4-15, 20-25, 30-35, 40-45,
50-55.

Can I play with two teams?
Senior players may play two (2) games in one night however; they can only play up or down 1 Division/Grade
in the Senior Competition. Example: A Senior Player can play for A Grade and B Grade however they can not
play for A Grade and C Grade. Alternatively a D Men 1 player can play D men 2 but not D Men 3.
Is there a code of conduct?
There are codes of conduct for the administrators, coaches, players, parents, officials and spectators.
