Education Development Pot (SSC)
Who can apply?
This pot of money can be bid for by all staff at the Univeristy of Birmingham involved with the
Student Rep Systems, up to the amount of £150. It can be used in order to widen
participation and engagement amongst your students, in particular Distance Learners
and/or Part-Time Students. This can be done through coffee mornings for feedback,
conferences and training, or events and socials, or buying equipment such as webcams and
microphones to make your SSC more accessible.
Process for submitting an application?
Applications will be considered throughout the academic year. To submit an application,
please complete the Education Development Pot application form below and provide a
detailed description of the event. Any missed information may delay or affect your
application. This application form must then be emailed to [email protected]
What happens once the application is submitted?
Once the application has been submitted a panel consisting of the Education Officer, a
representation coordinator and 3 reps from your college will look over your application to
check and discuss its eligibility.
When the final decision has been made on your bid, the funds allocated will be made
available for you to collect from the Student Voice office.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Any bid granted from the Education Development Pot cannot be used for profit events.
It is also asked that you document how you have used the money provided in order to
engage and/or feedback your targeted audience. Please tell us how successful you have
been and demonstrate how this funding has impacted the participants, an evaluation form
is available.
