Don*t stress out about the expensive calculator!

Don’t stress out about the expensive calculator! See
the “Alternatives” slide if you don’t wish to purchase
one.
I have seen these calculators for anywhere
between $128 (on Amazon) to $165 (don’t
remember where…)
The average price was around $135, so don’t
spend more than that.
These are the calculators that Winter Park High
School also uses – yay! One to last you 5 years!
The one you will be getting (the
NON-CAS version) is also allowed on
the SAT, ACT, AP and IB assessments.
The CAS version is NOT allowed on
some tests, such as the ACT and AP
tests.
Alternatives to purchasing a calculator for
home use: Use the class set when you are
in class, use the internet when you are at
home.
On my website are ti-84 emulator
download instructions. We won’t be using
these in class but it may be the better than
an online graphing calculator.
