CBE Area III – Leading Knowledge-building Inclusive Learning Environments
Website – http://galileo.org/pl/cbe3/
Assistant Principal Agenda – May 24, 2016
“The environments in which teachers and others in the system teach strongly influence what and how they
learn. Schools with high organizational adaptive capacity are more likely to nurture teachers with
adaptive expertise. These schools have structures and routines designed to promote the learning of both
individual professionals and of the school as a whole to better meet the needs of all students. Professional
learning is at the core of the school’s business. (Timperley, H. p. 181-82)
Learning Intentions:
 Affirm actions towards realizing educational equity and excellence through studentcentered leadership
 Deepen understanding about the role of school leadership teams in creating learning
environments to improve engagement, achievement, and well being inclusive of all
students.
 Identify how leadership teams might continue to build their collective knowledge about
strengthening organizational and professional adaptive expertise.
