"DC-DC converters" Space Design Engineer
Function
Within the “DC-DC Converters" team, you will have - within the framework of embedded space
applications - to define, design and test functions of “energy converters of low power cutting <
100W” type.
Activity

Study of electrical specifications and systems

Definition of architecture, split in elementary functions

Comparative study of solutions, according to the optimum need-cost ratio criteria

Creation of electronic diagrams

Validation of diagrams on simulator

Possible definition of models and their test procedure

Possible circuits validation on models

Tests technicians supervision

Analysis of the Worst Case Operating of the circuits (Worst Case Analysis, Monte Carlo)

Failure modes, effects and criticity analysis (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticity Analysis:
FMECA)

Analysis of the components constraints : temperature, nominal power or nominal current, etc
(Part Stress Analysis : PSA)

Writing of various reports and descriptive documents in English

Writing of tests specification in English

Monitoring the industrialization of electronic boards
Profile

Engineer specialized in the design of DC-DC converters

Perfect knowledge of discrete design techniques

Perfect knowledge of Buck, Flyback, Forward etc. technologies

Perfect knowledge of the regulation loops, stability, rejection, efficiency.

Perfect knowledge of the EMC aspects

Perfect knowledge of design robustness, Worst Case and Part Stress Analysis of the
components

MicroCap 10 and Simetrix/Simplist simulators desired knowledge

Notions of failure mode analysis

Good electronics laboratory experience

Autonomous

Rigorous and inventive

Aware of the planning and cost optimization aspects

Good control of written and spoken English language

Preferably with a previous working experience in the space or aeronautical field
