The Spread Eagle
Idyllically set within the 2600 acres of the renowned Stourhead Estate, one
of the most popular National Trust properties in the Country, The Spread
Eagle offers a unique and picturesque location for your function.
We are a short stroll away from one of the finest landscape gardens in the
world with panoramic views of the garden.
The Spread Eagle is an AA 4 star establishment and has been a popular
venue for many years due to its excellent location and warm hospitality.
Five en-suite bedrooms are available to book if required.
Functions
We can cater for any type of function in either our Red room which can seat
up to 40 or our Green room up to 20.
We can also cater for larger functions in the memorial hall.
Our experienced staff will be on hand to make everything run smoothly.

The Rooms
Red Room
The larger of our two rooms, our Red
room can seat a total of 40 guests.
A beautiful setting for your function
with its high ceilings, classic
chandeliers, stone fireplace and sash
windows. You will be truly spoilt with
views across to the Stourhead Garden
and Lake as you sit and enjoy your
meal with friends and family.
The Red room tables can be arranged
and decorated as you so wish.
Green Room
The smaller of our two rooms, our
Green room can seat a total of 20
guests, perfect for smaller
gatherings. With its character
fireplace and large picture window it
makes for an intimate setting for
your wedding reception. The tables
can be arranged and decorated as
you so wish.

The Memorial Hall
For larger functions of up to 100 there
is Stourton Memorial Hall, just a stone’s
throw away across the courtyard.

our bar facilities and staff can be made
