Shades of Winter’s BETWEEN
World premier at the BMW Welt Munich
Authentic, emotional and true rock’n’roll - this is the impression 700 visitors were left with in a sold out
BMW Welt auditorium. Friday, October 7, Julia Mancuso (USA) and her peers from the film had all the
reason to celebrate an overwhelming kick-off of Sandra Lahnsteiner’s third all-female action sports
feature film.
Olympic gold medallist Julia Mancuso (USA), two-time Freeride World Tour champion Nadine Wallner from
Austria, Sweden’s up-coming freeride talent Evelina Nilsson as well as halfpipe rockstar Janina Kuzma (NZL)
travelled far to jubilate a very special evening with family, friends and fans. After two years of production at
some of the world’s remotest and extraordinary places one can see moments of true friendship and honest
passion among the athletes, all in brilliant 4k quality. BETWEEN utterly disengages from the regular effectstuffed works of the genre. The wealth of spectacular moments has always been shaded with sincere emotion
throughout the evening. The more so as the evening and the film itself were dedicated to Matilda Rapaport
(SWE) who recently died in a tragic accident. During a touching minute of standing ovations the crowd including husband Mattias Hargin- acknowledged the great scenes the 30-year-old contributed to the film.
The premiere of the Red Bull Media House co-production in Munich was the beginning of a series of worldwide
screenings. On Saturday, October 8, the Shades of Winter crew is hosting its Austria premiere at Hangar-7 in
Salzburg.
