From General to Specific: Applying Universal Design To Your Lesson
Select 1 of the 3 classroom scenarios described on the next slide. Describe at least 2
ways to accommodate your students’ differences as you teach your lesson plan.
In other words, what kind of strategies can you use to accommodate all of your students?
1. Create a single slide in Powerpoint that describes what you could do to accommodate
your students. (You may use the template in this file; it’s the last slide of this Powerpoint file.)
2. Include an appropriate title. (Larger sized font, bold, centered, main words capitalized.)
3. Include a footer: CURR 285-??, Firstname LastName, ThisSemester ThisYear
4. Include the name of your identified lesson plan.
5. Include an appropriate image of your choice.
6. Include at least 3 headings. (Bold, main words capitalized, just like the heading above)
7. Provide at least 2 specific strategies to accommodate differences.
8. Use clear and complete sentences.
9. Make sure you use the spell checker. Tools => Spelling
10. Print the page. Hand it in.
11. Expect to upload your file to your TaskStream account.
