No-cost displaying of your organization’s promotional flyers, brochures, & coupons at the OUC Booth for duration of Show 2. No-cost 2-hour time-slots at the OUC Booth for Member Org. reps. 3. No-cost 30-minute time-windows to put on shows in the OUC-Coordinated Scuba Demo Tank 3 Promoting with Brochures and Flyers 4 Displaying of Members’ Promotional Flyers & Brochures • Must be received in OUC office by February 1st 2007 • Brochures may not be larger than 8.5” by 4” • Flyers may not be larger than 8.5” x 11” • Coupons may not be larger than 8.5” x 11” • Will be displayed at OUC Booth alongside other OUC members’ literature • Unused literature will not be returned, but will be distributed at future OUC events (Ice Floe Race, Treasure Hunt, etc.) until supply is used up. 5 Promoting at the OUC Booth 6 OUC Booth • • • OUC makes 2-Hour Time-Slots for all show hours available to OUCMember Organizations free of charge! (8 Time-Slots) Show management reserves the right to assign some time-slots to other-than-OUC Members 15 How to Book • E-mail the days and times your organization would like to present to [email protected] before 2007-01-31 • Not everybody may get their all their preferred time slots. The final schedule will be communicated to 2007-02-02, 2 weeks before the show. 16 17 What NOT to do at the Show… 1. Don’t have people demonstrate skills unless they are totally and completely proficient and can make it look easy and fun. 2. Announcers: Don’t mention the bad things that can happen. It doesn’t help attract people to the sport. 3. Divers: Don’t forget to make a pit-stop before you get in the tank 4. Don’t bang on the tank or the plexiglass. 18 Safety & Comfort Considerations • Pool will be heated and water will be sampled twice daily and treated as appropriate • Enter & Exit tank carefully! • 1st Aid & O2 (courtesy OUC) will be on site • On-site changing & washroom facilities, (key at OUC Booth). Demo Tank Participants have the final right of refusal if they believe the tank is unsafe or 19 uncomfortable. Scuba Demo Tank, Scuba World 2006 20
