For the following problems, we will try (very hard) to define a variable, set up an inequality,
and then solve. Our answers should be in complete sentences.

consumer’s monthly gross income. Oliver makes $54,000 per year and has a $100 student-loan
payment every month. What size car payment can he afford?

numbers of checks per month will the Acu-checking plan cost less?
