Course Description
Parenting has many joys, struggles, challenges, and triumphs. This course is
designed to provide a compass for new parents. It will point out several decision
points you’ll need to make as a new mom or dad, and provide discussion and
exercises to help you along the way.
Course Goals:
Students will discuss current trends in parenting strategies.
Students will create a series of resources for parenting help.
Students will apply lessons from the classroom in their home.
What to expect:
You will be spending a large amount of time in Canvas (our school’s LMS) reading,
evaluating, and discussing. You will also be submitting journal entries in the form of
assignments for each class. Lastly there are two major presentations you will
complete as your midterm and your final.
