Revised June 2009.
The world in your
pocket. It’s all you need
to navigate life at LMU.
The LMU OneCard.
It’s all you need.
You will be issued a OneCard when you begin classes
at LMU. Not only is it your student ID card, but it’s
also your library card, meal card and residence
hall access card. In short, it’s the official campus
card. It can be used in many ways for all kinds of
transactions, both on and off campus. The way you
use it depends entirely on your personal needs! Your
OneCard is valid as long as you are actively enrolled
at LMU.
There are several accounts you can have on
your OneCard.
L, I, O, N Plans*
Students living in traditional residence halls are
required to purchase one of the four California
sales-tax exempt, non-refundable LMU meal plans.
Commuter students and students living in on-campus
apartments are also eligible to purchase one of these
plans. The LION plans are good at any of the dining
venues on-campus only.
You can choose between the L, I, O and N plans.
Each plan has a different buy-in amount, and some
come with bonus dollars when purchased. The
bonus amount is added the third week of the spring
semester. Normally, L, I, O and N plans can be
changed only during the third and fourth week
of classes in the Student Accounts office in
University Hall.

The funds in your plan account must be used by July
31st of the academic year. Any remaining balance on
these plans at the end of the year will be removed.
However, a small percentage can carry over to the next
year and be placed in the S-Dollar account. If you run
out of LION Dollars during the year, you can deposit
funds in the optional S-Dollar account.
S-Dollar plan
S-Dollars is an auxiliary meal account option open to
undergraduate students only. Balances remaining in
the S-dollar account are carried forward from year to
year as long as the cardholder is actively enrolled at
LMU. Like funds in the LION plans, the money spent
from this account is tax-free, but is only good at venues
on campus and is non-refundable. If a resident student
has one of the L,I,O,N plans, they do not need an
S-dollar account.
Flexi-Dollars for fun
There’s more to your OneCard than eating! With
Flexi-Dollars, you can make transactions in the
bookstore, library, mail center; make copies; do
your laundry in the dorms; or even make purchases
off-campus. Flexi-Dollars can also be used at
on-campus food service locations, but unlike LION
Dollars, purchases are assessed applicable sales tax.
Flexi-Dollars carry over from year to year while
you are actively enrolled in LMU. The Flexi-Dollars
program is open to all students, faculty and staff.
