Let’s Get Unstuck
Gideon Gets Personal and Goes Public
Judges 6:17-32
PUBLICIZE: Getting “unstuck” requires going public.
(Judges 6:25-32)

Change is risky!
Who do you think you are?
PERSONALIZE: Getting “unstuck” gets personal.
(Judges 6:17-24)

Getting unstuck won’t kill me.
Am I risk-averse?
It's worth noting that true believers can't build an altar to the Lord
unless first they tear down the altars they've built to the false gods they
worship. Warren Wiersbe
What has the Lord told me to do that I’m not doing?

Exodus 33:20 (NIV)
“But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and
live."
Dalmation theology is distortion/deceiving!
Genesis 32:30 (NIV)
So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, "It is because I saw God face
to face, and yet my life was spared."
Change is costly!
Am I more likely to attack change or accept change?
Luke 14:26-27 (NIV)
26
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his
wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he
cannot be my disciple. 27 And anyone who does not carry his cross and
follow me cannot be my disciple.”

Change is transforming!
Courage is contagious.
Do I believe God is going to hurt me?

Getting unstuck starts with the Lord of Peace!
John 14:27 (NIV)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as
the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be
afraid.
Give God your weakness and He will give you His strength.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is
made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly
about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
Have I made peace with God?
Romans 5:1 (ESV)
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with
God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
