Hosted Buyers
We work closely with a worldwide network
of intermediaries, including major hotel
chains and agencies, to invite their key
clients to the show. Our team then checks
these buyers to ensure they have both
forthcoming events and an established
budget to spend on destinations, venues and
suppliers at the show.
Once they qualify for the Hosted Buyer
Programme, these senior event planners
have their travel, hotel accommodation and
transfers arranged and paid for by IMEX.
We regularly receive feedback from hosted
buyers saying how invaluable IMEX is to
them: three days of face-to-face meetings
gets their event planning underway and
saves them an incredible amount of time. For
this reason, many of them attend every year,
and are always looking for new destinations
and ideas.

What else should I know?
Due to our partnerships with all the major
trade associations across the industry, these
associations now co-locate their events to
run alongside IMEX. This means that IMEX
is seen as an annual must-attend event for
many high-level decision makers.
Visitor buyers
There are many buyers who attend
IMEX independently and not under the
Hosted Buyer Programme. The majority
of these were German buyers seeking to
place business internationally as well as
domestically, while others came from 89
other different countries. These buyers
are also qualified to ensure they have
sizable budgets.
Online Diary & Appointments
All buyers have access to the Online Diary
system, so that they can select suppliers
of specific interest to them and make
appointments with them.
