This tournament will NOT be USBC certified, but all USBC rules apply EXCEPT for those changed below. 2. All Prize Monies will be returned 100% in CASH at the end of the tournament. Prizes from the qualifying portion of the event will be paid on a ratio of one in five bowlers. All competition during qualifying is handicapped at 90% of 230, using last seasons highest average for 21 games. All TV competition is scratch. 3. All bowlers 18 and over are eligible for this tournament. No “Rule 400” for youth bowlers 4. Entries close Jan 1, 2013 at 11:00am UNLESS 112 PAID entries are reached first. If 112 bowlers are paid prior to Jan. 1, bowlers will be placed on a waiting list. Refunds to paid bowlers will only be made if the tournament director is contacted prior to the start of the event AND the bowler is replaced by a paid bowler. 5. Entry Fee will be $35 ($10 Main Prize Fund, $5 TV Prize Fund, $8 Bowling Expense, $7 TV Expenses, $5 Donation to “Unite 4 Peyton” ). Bowlers who “walk-in” or pay after 12/27/12 are subject to a $5 late fee. ALL ENTRY FEES PAID ON SITE MUST BE MADE IN CASH! ATM is available onsite. 6. Format—All bowlers will bowl 4 games on the same pair of lanes. Bowlers will use their best 3 out of 4 games bowled, plus handicap, to determine their qualifying total. Top 5 bowlers from qualifying automatically advance to the TV finals. Any ties for the last qualifying position to the TV show will bowl a 7-8-9-10th frame rolloff, using 40% of assigned handicap. Further ties broken by a single ball rolloff, no handicap 7. Drawing prior to TV taping—Each bowler will receive one drawing ticket toward the TV finals as part of their entry fee. After qualifying is complete and the top 5 bowlers are determined, bowlers may purchase additional drawing tickets at $5 each, with all proceeds going to “Unite 4 Peyton”. 5 tickets will be drawn to create the opposing team on the TV finals. If a bowler has multiple tickets drawn, only the first ticket will count towards advancing to the TV finals. 8. TV Taping — Bowlers will bowl a 7-8-9-10th frame match against a bowler randomly drawn from the opposing team. All other details of TV taping, including prize distribution and team awards, will be discussed with finalists prior to taping of the finals. 9. DRESS CODE FOR TV TAPING WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED !!! NO HATS or HEADGEAR (unless medically necessary w/Dr’s note), NO T-SHIRTS (mock turtleneck bowling shirts are fine), Jeans or slacks are acceptable. NO HOLES IN CLOTHING. NO SHORTS—NO SKIRTS. 10. CONSENT & LIABILITY—With the payment of the entry fee for the 2013 “Bowling Game”, participants agree that Essential Bowling Concepts, TV crew, and/or New Berlin Bowl, shall not be held liable for any bodily injury and/or property damage sustained by any participant and/or their spectators at any taped Essential Bowling Concept event. 11. New Berlin Bowl has contracted with Essential Bowling Concepts for production of the TV finals for future telecast on Time Warner Cable Sports 32. Time Warner Cable Sports controls all airdates of programming, and broadcast dates and times can be changed or cancelled by Time Warner Cable Sports without notice or recourse. One DVD copy of the finals will be provided to each of the finalists free of charge - additional copies can be purchased for $10.00 within 60 days of the tournament.
