Please find below some ideas for guiding your child’s learning at home. Please
encourage your child to complete one or more of these activities, with your
support.
In addition, we would love to hear from you about your child’s home learning;
please use the home learning diary to jot down your observations. Thank you.

This week we have been reading the book ‘The Ravenous Beast’, which is all about a
beast who is so ‘ravenous’ he eats everything and everyone! You can watch this story
by following this link:

 Your Home Learning challenge is to create your own
beast:
- What is it called?
- What does it look like?
- What does it eat?
- How does it move?
- Where does it live?
Can you draw a picture and label your beast?
If you are in Nursery, try to use your Letters and Sounds to sound talk words such as, leg,
head, body, teeth and ask an adult to label these parts of your beast.
If you are in Reception, you could use your Letters and Sounds to have a go at writing some
sentences to describe your beast.
i.e. My beast is… It has… It can… It eats…
Number work: practise saying the number that is 1 more or 1 less than a given number
to 20. Can you challenge yourself to work out a number that is two more or two less of
a given number to 20?
