The Boma Guest House
The Boma is Entebbe's original and most exclusive hotel, set in tropical gardens in a leafy suburb. The rooms

Famous British explorers like John Speke once journeyed through this beautiful national park in search of the
Nile. Vast plains are scattered with rich palm forests, lush grasslands, and growing herds of animals. The river
and delta is home to Nile crocodile and rare shoebill storks, lions, Ugandan kob, Rothschild’s giraffe,
hartebeest, oribi, buffalo, and primates. Comfortable lodge accommodations overlook the Victoria Nile.
Baker's Lodge
Situated on the South bank of the mighty Nile River which transects Murchison Falls National Park, this
intimate, safari style lodge is set within a large private area that has been cleared of all the dense undergrowth
to reveal beautifully trimmed grassed areas, large shady trees and wetland areas hosting abundant birdlife
along the water’s edge. The views onto the river are vast and magnificent with islands hosting nesting egrets,
elephants bathing and pods of hippos. The direct river access ensures that boat excursions along the Nile are a
definite highlight including visits to the Murchison Falls themselves, downstream to the delta area and scenic
sunset or sunrise cruises. For more traditional game viewing, 4×4 safari vehicles and guides are available for
excursions through the National Park as well as to the nearby Budongo forest where forest walks and
chimpanzee trekking are possible. Special meals including bush breakfasts and dinners are an additional treat
available for guests. The lodge features a thatched central lounge, bar and raised dining area with wooden decks
all around allowing guests to enjoy the morning sunrise at breakfast, sunset in the evening and 180 degree river
views. Each of the individual accommodation cottages is raised from the ground on supporting pillars and has
its own deck overlooking the river. Care has been taken to ensure each of the eight cottages has privacy as well
as excellent views either up or down stream. The large, airy en suite thatched cottages have netted windows
with opening options, customized solid wooden furniture, hanging mosquito nets and specially selected locally
crafted items for the accessories. The en-suite bathrooms are open plan with solar hot water showers and baths
with a view in some units. Solar lighting completes the services for this eco-friendly top quality establishment.
In keeping with standards expected of an establishment such as this, full multi-course dining with choices are
offered as well as a good selection of wines and other bar items.

This lowland tropical forest with marshes, crater lakes, and grasslands, is home to chimpanzees, primates,
duiker, bushbuck, and many species of birds. Head into the woods for a truly exciting safari trek to discover the

Ndali Lodge
Ndali Lodge is set stunningly amidst the Bunyaruguru Crater Lake region of Western Uganda, 16 miles south of
Fort Portal and lies at the center of 1000 acres of privately owned fertile farmland still cultivated in a traditional
style. There is a main thatched lodge with spacious sitting room, reception area and dining room flanked by 8
cottages providing luxurious accommodation for 16 guests. Each cottage, built of local stone and thatch, is large
enough to accommodate a family. Each cottage has en-suite facilities with bath, shower, WC and hand basin,
and a private verandah, perfect for watching the sun setting behind the Rwenzori Mountains, snow-capped
peaks which are clearly visible on a clear day. At night the dining room is festooned with candles - the lodge has
no electricity or generators to destroy the tranquility and atmosphere, although there are solar lights in the
cottages. The sitting room, reception and dining room open out onto Lake Nyinambuga and are connected by
two open passageways. The lodge is a base to visit local historical and wildlife attractions, and an ideal stopping
off place for parties moving from Queen Elizabeth National Park up to the famous Murchison Falls National
Park and Kibale Forest National Park. Ndali provides local guides for walks around the 1000-acre farm and to
the Mahoma Waterfall, and a boat for relaxing contemplation of a large variety of birds, butterflies and
primates. Walks will take you around crater rims, past alcohol brewing in oil drums, through banana
plantations, vanilla plantations, coffee terraces, plots of cassava, groundnuts, sorghum and millet.

The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a national park in Western Uganda home to more than 300 critically
endangered mountain gorillas. Spending time with these incredibly sentient creatures is often the high point of
a trip to Africa and an experience that cannot be forgotten. Tracking gorillas is very active and requires gorillaviewing etiquette. The area is mountainous and heavily vegetated and all excursions are on foot. There is a 15year-old age minimum to go on a gorilla trek. Lodging in the northern part of the park is in a safari camp
setting, with generous tented-rooms, and families of gorillas who occasionally visit the camps. The northern
part of the park also offers an opportunity to meet the Batwa people, the original dwellers of the ancient forest,
whom anthropologists estimate have existed in the equatorial forests of Africa for 60,000 years or more. Take a
day hike in the rainforest with Batwa guides, see how the Batwa lived and hunted and learn about medicinal
plants. Hear ancient legends and traditional songs, watch energetic dances, and test your skill with a Batwa bow
and arrow.
Gorilla Forest Camp
Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp is nestled deep inside Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in southwest Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest impresses with a truly theatrical landscape - this is a
region of volcanoes, jagged valleys, waterfalls, lakes and dramatic mountain ranges. And it is here, on a flat
ridge high in the forest, that Gorilla Forest Camp is tucked away. It's hard to fathom that such luxury and
sophistication could be available in an area as remote as this. Gorilla Forest Camp is the ideal base for a gorillatracking adventure in Bwindi. Guests can dine under the stars and relax by the roaring campfire. On cooler
evenings, the central cottage provides a warm shelter. Located within the national park, Gorilla Forest Camp
offers guests an unrivalled location, including the best bird and wildlife viewing in the Bwindi area. In fact,
Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp often receives regular visits from the gorillas themselves, up to 4-6 visits per
month. For the lucky guests in camp at those times, they may have the chance for a gorilla encounter without
even leaving Gorilla Forest Camp. Accommodation is in eight large en-suite tents which have two queen-sized
beds and a bathtub looking out onto the forest - ideal for relaxing after a day searching for gorillas in the forest.
The camp has a bar and dining cottage overlooking the rainforest, as well as a raised natural platform for openair dining. Guests can sit around the cozy campfire at night and enjoy Bwindi’s crystal clear mountain sky.
There is a small gift shop at the camp offering a variety of local artifacts and practical supplies and a mini spa.
For lighting and recharging of videos, 240-volt electricity is supplied. Gorilla trekking permits are issued by the
government on a per person, per day basis at a cost of $600 per permit and are not included in the
accommodation cost.
